It is what it looks like: a weekly itinerary for what’s happening at home. You know the saying: Things do not happen? Well it doesn’t! A couple of weeks ago, I already started planning what will happen in the week starting 11th March 2019.

I already noticed that Siti’s hair was getting long, a little over the ears. But it should be ok, she is a girl, and the old photograph in her travel file showed her sporting long hair in her youth. A week after I collected her back from the agency, she announced that she told Ah Gong to bring her to cut her hair on Monday, 11th February 2019. I looked at the diary and the day was marked “CNY7”. 3 thoughts sprung to mind:
(1) Did she check whether it was a lucky day to cut her hair?
(2) I don’t think she should be cutting her hair mid-way through the CNY, and
(3) Will she take advantage of Ah Gong’s ignorance, slip away and go borrow money again?!
My logical mind immediately stepped in and started weighing possibilities:
(1) For sure Ah Gong would not have helped her to check if it was a lucky day to cut her hair. (So I have to find a lucky date)
(2) I don’t want her to cut her hair halfway through the CNY (It’s only 7 days more till the end of the CNY, I’ll tell her to wait a week more)
(3) Nah, she won’t be so stupid right? What does she have to gain by borrowing money again? She knows that she would have to go back to Indonesia if I send her back to the agent again. (But to play it safe, I better bring her instead)
The last day of CNY is on Tuesday, 19th February 2019. But as I said in ***, where there is something good to be made, it’s perfectly alright to be a typical kiasu Singaporean! I don’t believe in throwing away all the lucky CNY goodies immediately after the CNY. Surely we can wait 3 days more (until 22nd March 2019) for all the ‘good luck’ and all the ‘gold’ to settle! That goes for cutting hair too!
Oh, hang on! 23rd March 2019 is the weekend. Nope, nobody is going to squeeze with the crowds to cut hair.

I pulled out my trusty Chinese calendar, and the sections that I look at are:
(1) Auspicious activities for the day
(2) Inauspicious activities for the day
(3) Animal day and clashing animal day
(4) Auspicious time to carry out the activity
Make sure you scan the page for these words! If it appears, don’t do anything important or out-of-the-ordinary that day. Just go about your daily life, and wait for the day to pass.
Dang! There’s hardly any good days for a rat-born and a rabbit-born to go cut hair together. Thursday 14th March 2019 would be a suitable day for me to cut my hair, but if both of us were to go, then Friday 15th March 2019 was better. LOL! What? Did you think that I would take time out just to bring her to cut her hair? Of course I would go trim mine too! Of course! I already told you that time is important! Don’t waste it bringing one person to cut hair. I managed to fix a hair appointment for the both of us for Friday 2.30pm.
But to wait 3 weeks to cut one’s hair seems like a long time. I better not waste this golden opportunity, so I went on to book an IPL underarm session at Paragon for me for Thursday 14th March 2019.
Scanning my diary, I remembered that Fridays are my hubby’s date nights with myself and the driving range. I decided that I would bring Siti along for the date night. The reason being it would be very rush if I had to send her home first, then rush to meet my husband for our date.
