Here’s my trusty little compass that has brought me incredible luck! I bought it for $12.90 from a bookshop in The Arcade (near Raffles Place MRT) many, many years ago. My guardian angel was with me when I bought it! Why do I say that? Did you know that whilst all compasses are made equal, the salesgirl or another customer might have accidentally dropped it before you? Or perhaps it has not been stored properly? I did not know this at that time, so I was really lucky to ‘blindly’ choose a good one. Whew!
So how do you choose a good compass? Let me teach you. You open 3 sets of compasses, and you put them on the shop table. Ask for permission if you have to. Most of the time, not all 3 compasses will point in the same angle! You do not buy the one that points in a different direction from the other 2 ok! If the Boss of the shop scolds you for being funny, then you simply apologise and get out. Surely you don’t want to buy a lucky compass from such a salesperson??? Bookshops are aplenty, go buy it from somewhere else! You can also go to Beach Road market to get one. Plenty of army supplies shops there! 👮👍
