This is my latest acquisition. This story is quite a good one. What happened was that one time, I visited a close friend of mine, who is the lady boss of a shop. She said her customer, who had just returned from ______ (somewhere, I forgot) had given her many scrolls, and would I like to take one? She offered me 2 pieces, one of the 8 auspicious objects, and the other of a green-color Buddha. I did not know about the green-color Buddha, so I actually DECLINED(!!!) to take it. Then I had the good karma to meet a High Lama, who invited me to visit his retreat centre in Taiwan. Which I did. There I saw the green-color Buddha again, and this High Lama gave me a present of incense, which he says is to offer to the green-color Buddha. So I figured – wow! – this green-color Buddha appears in my life again. I went back to Singapore, and of course I went to ask my close friend if she still had the green-color Buddha. It turns out that though this close friend had given away many scrolls since my last visit, for some reason, this green-color Buddha was still there (as if she was waiting for me to return!) So this is how I got to invite Mother Tara into my home. I have taken a photo of the box that holds the incense that you can offer to her, if you like.
