Saving On Toilet Paper

When I was growing up, this was a common sight in my home. Honestly, you can’t do much with these miserable leftover pieces. There’s not enough to wipe the big one, and you can’t use it all to wipe the small one. Of course, at that time I thought nothing of it. But now that I’ve been a housewife for close to 10 years, I can make statements about household items because I know how much things cost. Look, in Singapore, you can buy toilet roll in every neighbourhood shop or supermarket. Even at 7-11! I’ve done my ‘research’ – the most expensive brand is Charmin, which costs about $10.80 for 12 rolls (which makes it $0.90 per roll). So exactly how much are we saving if we use the last few pieces of toilet paper? 9 cents? 15 cents? Come on! My husband did not go to work from morning till night, face all that crap at work, just to come home to save on toilet roll! Chuck it out!
