Armed with my measly knowledge of feng shui, I had a new obsession. i thought I better be kia-su (scared of losing out) and kia-si (scared of doing the wrong thing) to ensure feng shui would work for me! Even simple matters like crossing the road, I would make sure my husband and I only walked on the bright areas (the white markings), and we totally avoided striding over the black markings. I thought to myself that walking over something black (therefore ‘yin’) meant bad luck. Lucky for me, my husband was a most obliging man, and he just did as he was told by his “expert” feng shui wife. I was so crazy in my feng shui application that I look back and laugh at myself! OMG. Crazy as I was, I had no time to think about my money worries, and I looked forward to every new day so that I could ‘apply’ my feng shui knowledge.
