I’m just going to show a little bit of WordPress backend for the benefit of readers who have never used this software. Hey! But did you know that I might have been one of those people who might never have used this software all my life? But here I am! I’m so grateful for all these opportunities that come my way! That’s why I always say that Feng Shui does work. You just have to Make Feng Shui work! 🙌
Ok, so the first thing we have to key in is the title of the blog, which is: ‘Keywords Everywhere (3) 谷歌关键词查询 (三)’.
In the beginning, I did not know exactly what I wanted to do with this web, so I just came up with funky titles that I liked, and I typed all sorts of gibberish as I fancied. Because I thought I should be creative in my writing! That’s reason enough, right?! 😅
Then after *** months of writing what I fancied, the handsome young man in charge of managing my web, on his own accord, helped me to put in a section called ‘Yeost SEO’. It was then that he told me that the website domain name matters. Because Google search engine crawls there first. See? This is the reason why this web is named doesfengshuiwork.com, instead of the original makefengshuiwork.com.
The individual blog title, which should be only 50 characters long, also plays a part in SEO optimisation, and if possible, the individual blog title should match the website domain name.
I was also to write a description paragraph for each blog that is 160 words long, so that Google search engine can pick up the keywords from this 160 words. No more than 160 words, no less than 160 words.
Argh! By that time, I had already keyed in **** entries! I struggled between kicking myself for not finding out more before I got started, and I also contemplated kicking him for not telling me this important information earlier! Of course it was my own fault because I should have done my own homework, instead of relying on Prince Charming to help me__________
And so I had to make a decision. Do I go back and re-write everything from Blog #1, or do I improvise what I have done so far, and write better moving forward? Of course I chose the second option! Which nut would go back and re-write everything from stratch starting from Blog #1? That’s probably why, my dear reader, you might feel that my earlier entries had strange and sometimes not matching description paragraphs to the blog contents. LOL! 😂
Finally, there is the content repeater section, which is the actual content of the blog. Similarly, the first 2 paragraphs of this section plays a part in SEO optimisation.
In theory, as I understand it, the search engine crawls like this:
Step 1 | search domain name | if yes, then go to blog title | if no, stop |
Step 2 | search blog title | if yes, then go to description paragraph | if no, stop |
Step 3 | search description paragraph | if yes, then go to content repeater first 2 paragraphs | if no, stop |
Step 4 | search content repeater first 2 paragraphs | if yes, BINGO!!! | if no, stop |
So the most basic criteria for the search engine to list my blog entry, is to fulfil the top 4 searches. But wait, that’s not all. We must also play with the mouseover words that hovers above every picture or photograph, and *****. Sounds like a full-time job to me, this SEO thingie!
