HDB Feng Shui: 2 Bedroom HDB (2) 组屋风水:两房式组屋 (二)

Yup, indeed, we did not even consider HDB Feng Shui principles when we bought our first HDB. And in the greatest HDB Feng Shui mistake anyone could ever make, we bought a flat with unit number: #04-94. 😥😰😅 But even for a flat with a unit number shunned by most people, it was still able to command a market-rate selling price. Imagine that!  So my husband and I had no choice but to lower our pride, and go beg our parents to loan us the money needed for the Cash Over Valuation (COV). I really hate being broke. I hated to be poor, I hated to be desperate and I hated to feel inferior. But as much as I hate it, a lesson I want to share with you is: It will not kill you to eat humble pie. Look at me, I’m still alive despite losing my pride and going to beg my mum for money, right? ✌ Sigh! 😪 Dear reader, I had to go through a lot of bad times to get to where I am today. So believe me when I tell you: Feng Shui works!✌👍 I am the best showcase of good Feng Shui! Does Feng Shui work? Yes, it does. Ordinary people can make it work too! Make Feng Shui work!
是的,事实上,我们购买我们的第一个组屋时,我们甚至没有考虑过组屋的风水原则。我们犯了在买组屋最大的风水错误,我们买了一套单位编号:#04-94。这间组屋虽然大家都不喜欢他的单位编号,仍然能够以市场价格出售销。想象一下吧!因此,我和丈夫别无选择,只能降低我们的自尊心,并且请求我们的父母借钱来换超而现金(COV)。我真的很讨厌没钱。我讨厌贫穷,我讨厌绝望,我讨厌自卑。但是,尽管我讨厌它,但我想与你分享的一个教训是:吃一点亏是不会把你杀掉。看着我,我仍然活着,尽管失去了我的骄傲,并恳求的向我妈妈借钱,对吧?叹!亲爱的读者,我经历很多糟糕的时刻才能到达今天的我。所以,当我告诉你时,请相信我:好风水是会实现的!我是良好风水的最佳展示!风水工真的会实现吗?是的,它确实。普通人也可以使它实现!让风水实现!


We did not have many choices then. We were under a huge budget constraint (at that time, we told the agent we wanted “the cheapest flat”, and we meant it! 🙁 ). Because of this, and the HDB’s Ethnic Integration Policy (EIP, where buyers can only buy units that have fulfilled the block and the neighbourhood’s quota and limits, in terms of ethnic group distribution), plus we needed to live XXX km from my Mother-in-law’s unit, – and – on top of all these constraints, we were desperate and wanted a unit asap, the agent was only able to find 2 units for us. Our first choice was a 2nd-floor unit that belonged to a nurse, and we gave them the down deposit cheque (I think we bought a cashier’s order for $5k, which was in effect all our savings) almost immediately. On the day of the HDB appointment, they showed up, but only to meet us outside to return the deposit to us, saying that they had changed their mind (this probably means that they had found another buyer who was willing to pay them a higher price).  So #04-94 was actually our 2nd choice unit (the only unit left, considering our constraints).

At that time, the property market was considered hot, and we had to pay $40,000 COV (cash-over-valuation, which means that a professional valuer will come in and assess the market value of the apartment unit, and the buyer had to cough up an additional COV mutually agreed upon).

My husband and I, of course we didn’t have $40,000, so we said we would ask $20k from our own parents. God was blessing us because my mum said OK, $20k is nothing to her. I don’t know how my husband did it, but he got $20k from his parents, and so, that was that. Thank you, Parents! 😘

(一)最便宜的单位

(二)我们一定要离我家婆家XXX公里内,才有资格获得住房补助

(三)单位简陋没关系,重要是要‘马上’可以搬进去,越快越好

经济不好找我们的单位,应为除了我们给他的条件局限,他还得符合一个我们那时才知道的政府条规: 每一座组屋和每一个邻里社区只能有XXX百分比的种族和种族群体。不久后,经济人说我们小两口只有两间组屋单位可以选。我们选的第一个单位是一名当护士的主人,在二楼。这我记得很清楚,应为虽然单位布制简单,屋主真的收拾得很干净。我们隔天就给他们支票标明为我们购买的兴趣和承诺。如果我没记错的话,当时的支票是五千块(终止是我们所以的积蓄就对了!😓)。不聊在建屋发展局预约时间那天,他们在建屋发展局办公室外把支票还给我们,说他们决定不卖了(这就是他们婉转的说他们找到另一个肯出更多一点钱的买家)!应为我们那时候被他们’玩弄‘,我们算是没办法才买#04-94。

我记得当时是房地产上涨周期,#04-94也可以要求买家给与组屋单位物业估值,再加额外现金。出得越高额外现金的买家理所当然就可以买到他们理想单位。我回想。。。可能是应为有很多“四”子,所以并没有很多人跟我们抢#04-94。卖家只要求四万额外现金。哎呀,总之,他们无论要一万或两万或十万对我们来说是负担!我们根本没有钱!💸

我们商量以后决定从各自父母借钱。那年菩萨保佑我,我妈妈竟然爽快说OK!我还记得她说一句话:“两万钱对我来说只是只是一根汗毛罢了!”(读者们,你们看,你们看!!! 可见当时她真的那么风光,为什么就一定要我学独立呢???!我真的不能了解!😟)。

我不知道我先生是怎么做到的,不过他也跟父母借了两万。就这样,我们迈前了这一步。
