Feng Shui really works for me! How effective is Feng Shui? My answer, simply put, is that when you want something, the universe conspires. However, I think the most misunderstood practice of Feng Shui is that people expect instant, fuss-free and guaranteed results. And worst of all, they expect Feng Shui to solve their problems in one miraculous swipe! Is that possible? Yes! Of course it is possible, but you would need to sacrifice ‘many other things’ in return for this one miraculous swipe! The truth is that people are ‘inherently’ lazy. Most people are not interested in improving their lives, if things are chugging along just fine. We tell ourselves: why rock the boat when things are going well? How can a person improve on his or her life?  Several ways of doing this include:

(1) thinking hard about your future in terms of what you want to do, where you want to go, and how you will get there, and

(2) upgrading yourself, for example, go for classes or courses so that you will be able to arrive at point (1) eventually, and

(3) convincing your family to come along for the journey as the whole gang progresses to point (1). As you continue to read my blog, you will see that families can drag you down, and

(4) acknowledging that we are merely humans, and we are ‘limited’ in our strength. Therefore, we all need ‘help, hope, encouragement, faith’ etc etc. I term this as ‘help from above’, and it includes practicing Feng Shui in earnest, praying, doing donations, charity etc, and

(5) believing that you can do it, and you take the plunge by investing (spending both time and money) in points (2) to  (4), so that eventually, you will be able to reach point (1).

Did you think that you, me, or anyone else would be able to get to point (1) if we did not sacrifice anything? That would be an incredibly naive thing to think! So then why should we bother to practice Feng Shui, if we still had to do things the old-fashioned way? Isn’t Feng Shui some sort of magic wand that can help us get to point (1) without any pain or sacrifice, and without us having to spend time and money? The answer is that it may be possible to get what you want without any work or sacrifice on your part, but you and your family  would have to play ‘Survivor Outlast’ with life. In my blog ____ and _____, I explained why time is of the essence. Therefore, you would need a magic potion that you can drink, so that life moves on (and therefore Feng Shui has time to work), but you and your family do not age. Until this magic potion is invented, I will not cross my fingers and hope for the best. Instead, I will help Feng Shui along, because in line with my own theory that time is our most precious commodity, every day that I help Feng Shui along, I am making Feng Shui work a day earlier!

I’ll give you an example. Say, for example, my husband and Mary’s husband are harping over the same post: To be the CEO of the biggest bank in America. Mary and I both want to harness the power of Feng Shui. Mary hires the best Feng Shui Master from Hong Kong to help her do her Feng Shui, so both her husband and herself kick off their shoes and relax. They know that they have the best Feng Shui in the world! Her husband will make it! On the other hand, ordinary me, I do my own Feng Shui. My husband continues to be on his best performance every day at work.  I encourage him to study for his Masters, and I also tell him to go volunteer in some high profile work, even if he will not be paid for it. So I never get to see my husband ‘anymore’, because every day after work and even on weekends, he has to go for classes or go get some high profile exposure. Pretty soon, wow! A lucky break for my husband!  Because of his high profile volunteer work, he got headhunted to be the CEO of the second biggest company in China! And my husband is ready because he has the relevant Education qualifications, and he also has the exposure from all the high profile work that he has been doing! Wow! Off to China he goes! ✈👏👏👏

But what about Mary and her husband?  They, too, will get their lucky break. Of course! Remember that they have the best Feng Shui in the world! An opportunity arose quickly. The CEO of the biggest bank in America had earlier announced his plans to retire, but even after 2 years of searching, they still cannot find a suitable replacement! Why? You see, the job is meant for Mary’s husband, but because he has not met the minimum requirements for the job, his name has yet to appear in the list of candidates in America’s headhunting firms. Did you think that the CEO of America’s biggest bank would not need a Masters, just because he has good Feng Shui? Of course not! Don’t fool yourself! We all live in the real world! So all that is left for Mary’s good Feng Shui to materialise, is for her husband to quickly start studying, and at the same time, he should quickly go and find some high-profile guy to recommend him for the job. But rest assured, in time to come, Mary’s husband will surely get the job! ✌ Because Feng Shui works! Let’s cross our fingers that in the meantime, nobody has asked the best Feng Shui Master from Hong Kong to do up their Feng Shui, otherwise Mary’s husband would need to fight him for that one job! 😅
